Frequently Asked Questions - Our Reviews

Yes. Every single review on our blog is based on firsthand experience. Whether it’s a hotel stay, a local restaurant, a train ride, or a Christmas market, we only write about places we’ve personally visited or services we’ve used. If we haven’t done it ourselves, you won’t find it here.

Not necessarily. We aim to keep things honest and helpful. Most reviews are for places or services we genuinely recommend, but we’re upfront about what didn’t work for us too. If something felt overpriced, underwhelming, or just not great with kids, we’ll mention it. We want you to feel like you’re getting real advice from a friend—not a brochure.

Occasionally, we may receive a discounted stay or gifted activity—but it’s rare, and we’ll always disclose it. Our goal is to remain transparent, and we never let freebies influence our opinions. If we don’t think it’s worth your time or money, we’ll say so.

Absolutely. We travel full-time with our daughter, and family-friendliness is something we notice in every experience. From kid meals and stroller access to playgrounds or bedtime noise levels, we include tips that other traveling families will actually care about.

We only write reviews when we feel like we have something useful to share. If a place was just okay or didn’t stand out, we often skip writing about it. We want our reviews to be worth your time—not filler content.

We break them down into four main types: Eats (restaurants), Rides (transportation), Stays (accommodations), and Places Misc. (attractions, tours, and locations that don’t fit neatly into the others). You can view all our reviews or filter by type depending on what you’re planning.

We’re open to suggestions! If there’s a restaurant, hotel, or experience you’d love to see covered, feel free to reach out. We can’t promise we’ll get there soon—but it might just land on our radar for a future trip.
