Switzerland hit us right in the daydream. We didn’t expect to be so taken by trains, but gliding through alpine tunnels only to roll past a village that looks straight out of a snow globe? It’s unforgettable. Every time we’ve visited, we’ve found something new to love—especially the way Geneva feels like France one day, then you blink and you’re wandering through a German market in Zurich or sipping espresso with a view that feels more Italy than Alps.
One of our favorite travel days ever involved doing absolutely nothing except riding the rails, watching the scenery change languages, architecture, and mood. You can’t help but romanticize travel in a place like this. The air is clean, the food is rich, and everything just works. It’s refined but not unapproachable—like that well-dressed stranger on the train who still offers to help you with your luggage.
Switzerland has a way of slowing you down and making the ordinary feel like a reward. There are still corners we haven’t explored, and frankly, we hope it stays that way—because it means we’ll have an excuse to keep coming back.
