Overview:
During our time in Dobrota, Montenegro, we ended up eating at Little Bay Restaurant more than once—and for good reason! While there are plenty of great places to eat near Kotor, Little Bay’s location is unbeatable. It sits right along the Bay of Kotor with direct beach access, which means you can easily spend the whole day lounging on the patio, sipping drinks, enjoying a few dips in the sea, and snacking on good food in between.
This restaurant is the type of place where time slows down—in the best way. It’s not fancy or pretentious, but it delivers when it comes to views, relaxed vibes, and quality food.
The menu is a well-balanced mix of local Montenegrin dishes and international favorites, so even picky eaters or families with kids will find something to love. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. For the location and experience, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

The Food
If you’re a pizza lover, don’t miss the Diavolo pizza. It was hands down our favorite. The chili peppers added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the rest of the flavors. The crust was crispy on the outside and soft inside. Exactly the kind you hope for in a coastal pizzeria.
The one thing to know: the food here takes a while to come out. But when your table is literally feet from the water, and the drinks are flowing, you’re not in a rush. Unless you’re rushing to catch a flight (or a moody toddler nap window), this is one of those spots that practically begs you to hit pause and soak it all in.
We also had one of the most curious (and unforgettable) ice cream experiences here. On a blazing hot day, we ordered what we thought would be your average scoop… but it turned out to be light, airy, mousse-like—and somehow didn’t melt. Even after a swim in the sea, it was still holding strong. We don’t know what kind of sorcery was in that dessert, but it was delicious and refreshing, and that alone will have us coming back to figure out the mystery.
If we ever find ourselves back in this part of the world, we would definitely come back to dine at Little Bay.

Atmosphere & Ambiance:
If you’re craving a no-stress meal with front-row seats to the bay, Little Bay easily ranks among Dobrota’s most chill and scenic spots. The outdoor tables come with postcard-worthy views, and the laid-back vibes make it the kind of spot you’ll want to linger at long after the plates are cleared. Oh, and the prices are just right!
Service & Kid Friendliness
We had mixed experiences when it came to service. The hostess was consistently friendly and welcoming, but the waitstaff seemed a bit more hit-or-miss. We noticed that the servers—most of whom looked quite young—tended to linger in conversation with each other rather than checking on tables. Still, once our food arrived, it came as ordered and tasted great, so we chalked it up to the laid-back Montenegrin pace of life.
As for families: while Little Bay isn’t specifically kid-focused, it is kid-friendly. There’s no kids’ menu, but there are plenty of simple options like pizza, fries, and grilled meats. We saw a few other families during our visits, and our daughter was welcomed without issue. The proximity to the water adds a fun bonus for kids who like to swim or play near the shore (with supervision, of course).
Getting There & Accessibility:
Little Bay Restaurant is located along the coastal walkway in Dobrota, just a 10-minute stroll from the Kotor Old Town walls. You can’t drive right up to the restaurant unless you’re a local with parking access nearby. Street parking is extremely limited, so your best bet is to walk along the scenic path from Old Town.
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and the outdoor seating is spacious and open.
If you’re staying nearby or just exploring the area, this is an easy stop to add to your itinerary.
Final Thoughts
Would we return? Absolutely. The unbeatable waterfront setting, surprisingly good food, and relaxed beachside vibe made this one of our favorite casual dining spots in Kotor. If you’re looking for a no-fuss meal with million-dollar views, Little Bay Restaurant in Kotor checks all the boxes.
