Why We Chose Iris Hotel Eden
We were traveling as a family and wanted a place that checked all the boxes: clean, spacious, kid-friendly, budget friendly, and with easy access to Prague’s Christmas Markets. Iris Hotel Eden delivered on every front.
Nestled in the Vrsovice district, it’s located right next to Eden Arena and part of a larger shopping and sports complex that includes restaurants, supermarkets, and fashion outlets. We loved being in a quieter neighborhood with everything we needed just steps away.
First Impressions & Room Comfort
Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm hospitality…literally and figuratively. The lobby was cozy, with a hot cocoa bar and chess tables that made us feel instantly welcomed. Check-in was smooth, and we were given a thoughtful welcome note and bottled water.
Our room was spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we had a great night’s sleep every night. The bathroom amenities were high-quality, and the shower pressure was excellent. Overall, it felt more like a 4-star hotel than a budget-friendly stay.

Dining at the Hotel
Let’s talk food! The breakfast buffet at Iris Hotel Eden exceeded our expectations. It included eggs, sausages, fresh fruits, a yogurt bar, pastries, and gluten-free options. Everything was fresh and refilled often. The servers were attentive and friendly, getting drink orders upon arrival.
We also dined at the hotel restaurant for dinner on two nights, and both meals were excellent. The servers were perceptive, and they even brought out coloring pages and crayons for our daughter. A small but meaningful touch. There’s also a kids menu with all of the familiar, comforting choices.
Family Friendliness at Iris Hotel Eden
This is hands-down one of the most kid-friendly hotels in Prague. The staff went out of their way to make our daughter feel welcome, from the coloring books to the hot cocoa. The breakfast had lots of kid-friendly options, and the spacious room gave her room to play.
The hotel is also quiet at night, so we didn’t have to worry about street noise or disturbances. That peace of mind is huge when traveling with a young child.
Accessibility and Parking Info
Accessibility was another highlight. There’s a large parking lot shared with the Eden Arena next door. We were told to park on the hotel-designated side, but we did see other guests use the arena side when there wasn’t a game. Street parking is also available but can be tough to find.
Pro Tip: If there’s a football match or concert at the stadium, plan to arrive early or leave the car and use public transport.
Local Transit: Easy and Efficient
This is where Iris Hotel Eden truly shines. Even though we had a rental car, we opted for public transit to explore the Christmas Markets. Tram stops are just a short walk from the hotel, and getting into the city center took less than 15 minutes. Trams are reliable, clean, and easy to navigate…even with a child in tow.
If you’re planning to use Prague’s excellent transit system, staying here gives you all the perks of connectivity without the crowds of Old Town hotels.
