Looking for a clean, affordable place to stay near the Luxembourg Airport? We stayed at the Ibis Budget Luxembourg Hotel right next to Findel Airport with our daughter and were pleasantly surprised. It’s not fancy, but it checks all the boxes for budget-conscious travelers—especially if you’re flying in or out of Luxembourg and need a comfortable, convenient spot to rest your head.
Here’s our full review, including prices, what the rooms are really like, and whether it’s good for families. Spoiler: our daughter loved the bunk bed.

The biggest perk of this hotel is the location—it’s literally across the street from the Luxembourg Findel Airport (LUX), which makes it perfect if you have a late arrival, early departure, or just want to avoid the stress of airport transfers. It’s also about a 10–12 minute drive to Luxembourg City center, which makes it easy to explore the capital without being right in the middle of the hustle.
Public transportation options are available nearby, or you can rent a car (we used the gated hotel parking, which felt very secure). The front desk will give you a code to open the gate when you’re ready to leave.
We booked a family room, which came with a queen bed and a single bunk overhead—simple, compact, but smartly designed. The bunk bed was a total hit with our 5-year-old, and the rest of the room, while small, was spotlessly clean and practical.
You won’t find a ton of extra space or luxury finishes here, but the beds were super comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure—two big wins in our book after a travel day.
Other room types include standard doubles and twins. All rooms are non-smoking, and each comes with air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a TV, desk, and basic storage space.
Prices at the Ibis Budget Luxembourg Airport generally start around €65–€90 per night, depending on the season and how far in advance you book. For a family-friendly room this close to the airport, that’s a fantastic deal.
Breakfast is not included in the base price, but it’s available for an extra fee (around €9 per adult). We didn’t get to try it due to our early checkout, but the spread looked fresh and filling. A continental breakfast with bread, cheese, fruit, coffee, and juices.
Is this a family hotel? Surprisingly, yes—for a budget chain, it works great for families. The bunk bed setup makes it fun for kids, and the staff was kind and helpful throughout our stay. While there aren’t playgrounds or themed activities, it’s a great no-fuss stopover option for families flying in or out.
Bonus: the quiet, well-insulated rooms helped everyone get a good night’s sleep.

There’s also a more expensive full-service Ibis Hotel attached next door. If you need a bit more space or added amenities, it might be worth comparing prices.
This hotel does a great job when it comes to accessibility. There’s an elevator, wide hallways, and step-free access throughout. The entrance and lobby are easy to navigate, and the parking lot is directly outside. Whether you’re pushing a stroller, carrying lots of luggage, or using a wheelchair, getting around is simple and straightforward.

Not ideal for long stays or travelers seeking luxury
If you’re only in Luxembourg for a short visit or using the city as a stopover, this hotel makes a lot of sense. It’s not the kind of place you’ll want to hang out all day, but as a place to sleep and recharge, it absolutely does the job.
We’d definitely stay at the Ibis Budget Luxembourg Airport Hotel again—especially for early flights or late arrivals. It was clean, efficient, and surprisingly quiet for an airport hotel. Plus, our daughter’s face lit up when she saw that bunk bed, and that’s worth something in itself.
If you’re traveling through Luxembourg and want a no-fuss, affordable place to stay, this one’s a solid pick.
