As a family traveling with a young child, finding a hotel that balances comfort, convenience, and cleanliness is key. The Ibis Budget Hotel Luxembourg offered just that—affordable rates, a kid-friendly vibe, and unbeatable proximity to the airport. While the room was compact, it was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Our daughter absolutely loved the bunk bed, which added a fun element to our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure.
The location is ideal, especially if you’re arriving from the airport as it’s right across the street. It is also about a 10-minute drive to the city center. The streets surrounding the hotel were quiet and easy to navigate. It was easy to get to the highway (or motorway), and there is a gas station located down the street.
Checking in and out was a breeze, and the gated parking lot provided an extra sense of security. The hotel reception will provide you with a code to exit the parking lot. The parking lot was large and nicely paved. Plenty of parking spots were available.
There is another Ibis Hotel attached to this one, which is slightly more expensive and likely offers larger rooms. However, the Ibis Budget Hotel was perfect for what we needed.
While the room was compact, it was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Our daughter absolutely loved the bunk bed, which added a fun element to our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure. There was a small table, a few shelves, and plenty of outlets in the room. There was no coffee or tea pot in the room, but there was coffee and tea available for purchase in the lobby.
The hotel provides bunk beds in family rooms (A queen size bed on the bottom, and a twin on top), which are a big hit with kids! While there aren’t many additional amenities specifically for children, we didn’t expect any either.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay pleasant and hassle-free. Upon arrival, there was no one working at the front desk, but there was a sign to check in at the Ibis Hotel located directly next door.
There is a dining area at the hotel with the option to purchase breakfast. You can also enjoy the bar and dinner here as well. Although we didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast due to our late check-in and early check-out, the menu looked delicious and inviting.
Because we arrived so late, there was nothing open in the area. There is a gas station located about 1 minute down the street that was stocked with some sandwiches and snacks.
Totally. Yes it was small, but I’m not here to spend my entire day in the room! It gave us a clean and comfortable place to sleep, and I couldn’t have asked for more.
During our Benelux road trip, our family of three needed an inexpensive and convenient place to stay. For those of you that have traveled to Luxembourg, you’ll know that nothing is cheap! The location was great and the rooms comfortable and clean. Next time we decide to drive through, we’ll make a point to stop here again.
