Overview:
We took a road trip across Crete, and found ourselves in Kissamos. It was the perfect location for us to visit Falssarna, then continue on to Elafonissi Beach in the morning! We chose to stay at the Sunny Bay Hotel because of the price and the location, and ended up having a great stay. Location, comfort, and price! That is what this hotel is all about.
Location
It is located right on the beach and close to town which is filled with restaurants and shopping. Checking in and out was very easy and the staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming. The lobby is open and spacious, offering great views of the pool. There is a good size selection of books you can enjoy while staying here, a few games, and a pool table. The restaurant and bar are located across the lobby and next to the pool. Unfortunately, we were only here for a few hours while on a road trip, so we did not get the chance to enjoy the restaurant, but it looked and smelled amazing! Definitely next time!
The Room
The rooms are great. Nice bathroom and shower with tub, super comfortable beds, very clean, and the views from the balcony are stunning. One of the most beautiful places to watch the sunrise and sunset! There is air conditioning, a mini fridge, and tea and coffee station inside the room, and plenty of free parking on the street. The highlight of this hotel is the pool. The lounge chairs set in the water are the best place to unwind. The best part of the hotel is the beach! There is access directly outside the hotel and umbrellas and lounge chairs are available for guests. It’s almost like you have the whole beach to yourself. Clear water and soft sand. What more can you ask for?! All of this for such a great price. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Sunny Bay Hotel for a memorable stay!
Customer Service/Kid Friendliness:
Great customer service from front desk staff. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and welcoming! It is a family friendly hotel and includes a kids pool.
Accessibility:
There is free self parking on the street next to the hotel. There was a lot of space so we had no problem finding a spot. The city center is only a few minutes away so there is quick access to a lot of restaurants and shopping. The hotel offers tours and excursions of the surrounding area. The beach is literally steps away! And fully stocked for guests.
