Overview:

If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Inverness, situated in the Scottish Highlands, look no further. The Kingsmills Hotel is it! Pulling in you are greeted by a castle-esque hotel. It is stunning.  Plenty of parking out front and back. The inside is elegant and spacious. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. Huge bathrooms, plenty of room for storage, a work desk, kettle with tea and coffee, seating and tables, and of course the most comfortable bed. We ordered room service one night and they were very fast and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the leisure room which is equipped with a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym. Bathrooms are inside the pool area with lockers available for 1 euro. My only complaint about the entire stay was I wish the hot tub was hotter! It was more like a warm tub with jets, but it still felt amazing. We felt like Scottish royalty staying here, and if/when we return to Inverness, we will definitely be staying at the Kingsmills Hotel again. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

Kid Friendliness:

The pool is the best thing here for kids to do. There are a few restaurants but they have more of a fine dining feel to them, but they do offer a kids menu. There is also a park with a great playground directly across the street.

Accessibility:

There is plenty of parking. There is a parking lot out front, which was completely full when we arrived that night. A lot of people come only to dine in the restaurant. Behind the Kingsmills Hotel is more parking, which I believe is for guests only.

There are a few restaurants within walking distance, about 10-15 minutes away. The city center is a 5 minute drive from the hotel and it has so much to offer. Parking structures are near the mall. Loch Ness is about a 20 minute drive, also within a short driving distance are whisky distilleries, Outlander tours, museums, castles, and more. It is located in a very central area.
