Overview:
We stayed at The Black Bull with Rooms in Cumbernauld late October 2023. We were looking for something close to the Halloween activities we were taking our daughter to, but somewhere that wasn’t in the middle of a big city, close to restaurants, and all for a decent price. The Black Bull with Rooms checked all of those boxes.
Honestly, I was a little skeptical at first. It’s a 3 star hotel, the pictures looked like it was a tiny, worn down room, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! The room is small, but not as small as I was imagining. Very clean, good size bathroom, and very easy check in and out. We stayed in a triple room which had a full size bed and a twin. The twin bed was tucked in a little corner of the room which our daughter loved. The restaurant attached (The Coorie In) was amazing. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in Glasgow!
Customer Service:
Checking in with Jacqueline was fairly easy. We informed her of the time we would arrive, and were supposed to receive a code for the lock box. We arrived a little under an hour from when we initially planned, and had not yet received the code, but as we were asking around she sent a text with the information. When you check out you just drop your key in the box on the front door. Easy.
Accessibility:
Parking at the Black Bull with Rooms Glasgow was a little tricky. We found street parking right out front, but I think during a busier time/season, it would be harder to find parking there. We also had to move our car by 8:00 am, which was fine for us but maybe not most. There were no clear signs for parking or instructions before arrival from management. Once we got into the room there was a sign on the back of the door with extra parking information.
