We visited the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary 2 times during our stay on the Isle of Wight. Such a cool experience, and worth the entrance fee. If you return within one week of purchasing your ticket, you can come back for only 1 pound! We were lucky enough to be here during their Halloween festivities, which they did an amazing job of decorating the grounds and putting on a fun trail for the kids that included arts and crafts. Our 4 year old loved this! Even on non-holidays, they have a fun sheet for your child to fill out as they walk around and bring back for a surprise.
You are so up close and personal to the animals here. I have never been that close to a lion before! The white lions are stunning. We love that all of the animals have names and signs with their pictures and facts about them. By the time you leave there you feel as if you know the animals on a personal level! All of the animals seem to be well taken care of, happy, and content.
We were able to watch the lions and the tigers being fed and listened to the talks. Super informative, and so awesome watching the big cats search for their food.
The sanctuary is well laid out with plenty of paths to take around the space.
The gift shop has tons of goodies, the vegan cafe was good, decent price, clean, and there’s a space for kids to play and read.
All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Next time we come to the Isle of Wight, United Kingdom we will definitely be returning to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary!
